KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty name their daughter 'Evaarah Vipula Rahul'

Cricketer KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty have officially revealed the name of their newborn daughter, choosing a name rich with meaning and family sentiment. The couple announced that their daughter is named Evaarah Vipula Rahul.

Athiya Shetty shared the name through her social media accounts, explaining the significance behind the selection. She revealed that "Evaarah" is derived from Sanskrit and means "gift of God." The middle name "Vipula" has been chosen in honour of Athiya’s maternal grandmother, while "Rahul" connects her directly to her father, KL Rahul.

The announcement came on a special occasion—KL Rahul’s 32nd birthday on April 18, making the day even more memorable for the family and their fans. Athiya’s heartfelt note drew a lot of love and blessings from well-wishers across the world.

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty had earlier welcomed their daughter during the first week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Rahul had skipped Delhi Capitals' first match of the season to be present at the time of her birth. The couple had publicly shared the joyous news on March 24.

Their pregnancy announcement came in November 2024, right before the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, when the couple informed their fans with a touching post.
